The Region - Playa Nosara and the Guanacaste Peninsula
Due to our close
proximity to the Continental Shelf running times average only
15 to 30 minutes for Big Game fishing.
From 8 miles off Playa Guiones and
to the east and south has traditionally been a holding area for
Marlin, Sailfish and Dorado throughout the year and generally
mild winds compared to Tamarindo and Playa de Coco area to the
north.
Big schools of Yellowfin Tuna also
frequent this area throughout the year, both in close on the reefs
and offshore among large pods of porpoise.
This area of coast from Punta Guiones
along with Carillo- Guanamar Resort 8 miles to the south has been
a world class destination in sport-fishing circles for some time
and is becoming more popular as the consistency of good fishing
remains strong.

We also offer excellent fishing opportunities
closer inshore with numerous reefs and ledges that hold the fish.
Trolling or casting can produce Wahoo, Yellowfin, Dorado and Sails.
We are well equipped for Live bait fishing which is deadly here
for big Cubera Snapper, Grouper and Amberjack.
Costa Rica is great destination for
your fishing adventure. Nearby beaches offer numerous Hotels,
Restaurants and Stores. There are also good waves in the area
for surfing along with Ocean Kayaking, Horseback Riding and ATV
rentals just to name a few.
We will be happy to assist you with
accommodations and any travel needs within Costa Rica.
